A picture is worth a thousand words - and the works by Ukrainian-born do have a lot to say, indeed.
He has created a wall installation for The Cloud One Danzig, combining aspects of the historical city map with the colourfulness of Danzig's famous amber.
His technique: The canvas is coloured first and subsequently hatched and shaded with natural charcoal and eraser.
But the artist, who also teaches at the Academy of Fine Arts, is himself at least as expressive as his work, cue our Silent Interview:
