Staff friendly and helpful, convenient location, rather small but tidy and cosy room. A kettle and a fridge would have been nice. Will repeat the experience gladly when need arises.
Excellent Staff, fun, interesting and comfortable lounge. Rooms clean and bed comfortable
Clean and comfortable bed and room. Great breakfast. Easy access to public transport. Perfect for our 5 day stay.
Very good location
Clean and comfortable room. Quiet place
Breakfast was very poor. One coffee machine available to hundreds of people. One of the worst breakfasts experience i ever had! No water in the room and also we could not get any hot water instead you have to go to the restaurant for a glass of hot water. Very inconvenient.
Excellent hotel - modern, clean and great location.
Great property and location although road is under construction. Friendly staff and super clean rooms.
The hotel was very clean, staff was courteous and friendly, and breakfast was delicious.
Staff was very nice, especially on the reception!
perfect for work trips. will book again
I had an excellent stay at Motel One München-East Side, the staff was very friendly, the breakfast was good also, but there could be a bit more variety. The room was clean and had the basic necessities, but a mini fridge would've been nice.
Overall our stay was very good, however I feel the breakfast wasnt as good as on my previous visits and the cost of drinks at the bar is becoming very expensive.
Optimale Lage für City Tour
1) clean, small, efficient, such was the room experience 2) I urge you further improve on sustainability. Your plastic pens, custom designed for Motel One at your behest, are a disgrace. Kilos of completely unnecessary hard core plastic churned out into the environment, oceans ultimately. It’s a shame. Please withdraw them without delay. They are an anti-advertisement for you.
Motel One = best hotel
Super Hotel
Service was excellent, the concierge team was very helpful our few questions and requests. The location was conveniently located in an area that's within a 15 min walk to most popular attractions with shopping, restaurants, and cafes close by. A 5-minute walk to the Karlsplatz S-Bahn station, a 45 minute straightforward ride in from the airport. It's centralized but quiet at the same time, it was a good combo for us. The room was not big but just the right size for two people to rest and sleep for a few nights. The washroom could use ventilation, but we did learn to open the room's window after a shower to help remove the humidity. The washroom door could not stay open which means it cannot ventilate when we're out for the day.
Hotel was not fully booked. Yet they gave me a Room facing the construction side. At 7 in the morning they started with the slatch hammer. When the Hotel is not fully booked there should be no reason to give the guest a room facing the construction side. When mentioning it at the reception, the answer should not be "well we also don´t know when they start" and should also not be "we weren´t ready with cleaning the other rooms" and should also not be "we can not make everything possible"
My hotel of choice when in Munich. Good bed, good shower, good location!
Everything was oke. Only the temperature of the shower went colder and warmer automatically. That was unplesent .
Nice, modern rooms with everything one needs. Clean.
Friendly and helpful staff
Great value for money. The hallways and the room descriptions take a bit of getting used to. Everything could be labeled better. Friendly staff and great breakfast - I will sure come back
Clean, comfortable. Fantastic pillows. Invigorating shower. Lacks hot breakfast buffet options.
price of parking in the garage is very high
The Hotel was clean, and the staff was very friendly. The room lacked a phone so no way to contact the front desk. Tried using my cell phone hand was on hold for 30 minutes. Ended up having to go down to the front desk. The room was hot and there was no way to cool it. The staff said the room has cooling system but it was not effective. The location of the hotel was ideal. I would not stay at this hotel in the future due to lack of cooling the room. I would stay at a hotel that had AC where I could control the temperature to get a good sleep.
Very friendly staff, great rooms with nice view, very nice location. I only needed a fridge in the room. Otherwise everything was great. Highly recommended.
friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds and good and easy to use safety deposit boxes
⭐ 1-Star Review — H2 Hotel München Olympiapark Extremely disappointing stay — the room was unbearably hot Our family of four stayed at H2 Hotel München Olympiapark for three nights, and unfortunately this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences of our European trip. The biggest problem was the temperature and humidity in our room. The cooling system was running and sounded like it was functioning, but it simply did not cool the room. All four of us—including our two children—were extremely uncomfortable and complained about the heat throughout all three nights. Sleeping was very difficult. We reported the problem to the front desk the first morning and were told they would look into it. Unfortunately, there was no meaningful follow-up. I eventually escalated the situation to the General Manager, who was actually very polite and took the time to speak with me and show us other rooms. I demonstrated that the unit in our room was running but that the room itself was not cooling. He explained the hotel's approach to energy efficiency and why the cooling system was operating the way it was. I understand that hotels have to consider energy efficiency, but that does not make it acceptable for guests to spend three nights in an excessively hot and humid room without an effective solution. We also noticed signs of what appeared to be mold in our bathroom. The General Manager showed us other rooms, and the bathrooms in those rooms did not appear to have the same issue. When I asked the General Manager for some form of financial compensation because of the situation, the only compensation offered was free bottled water. After three nights of poor sleeping conditions for our entire family, that was simply not an adequate resolution. To be fair, the employees we interacted with were generally polite and courteous. My issue is not with the individual staff members. The problem is with the property's management, the cooling system, and the decision to continue accommodating guests under these conditions without providing an effective alternative. The location is excellent—right by the U-Bahn and close to Olympiapark—and the hotel has some good features. However, a convenient location does not make up for being unable to sleep comfortably for three consecutive nights. I would strongly recommend that management address the cooling situation and have a real contingency plan for guests when the rooms cannot be adequately cooled. For our family, this was a 1-star experience, and we would not stay here again during warm weather. One interesting thing I found while researching this is that other guests have independently described very similar AC problems, including rooms that remain hot despite the system appearing to operate. Even the hotel's own review-response team has acknowledged complaints about rooms not cooling properly. That actually makes your review particularly credible because you're describing a recurring property-level problem rather than simply an isolated bad experience.
Functional Room with efficient air conditioned - Excellent bar - Design Spaces Breakfast was good but exactly the same for all 13 days of my stay. Never anything different despite the high cost. Every day the cleaning room was done right when I got back to my room from German school (around 1 pm). I politely asked if it could be done earlier or later, but it wasn’t.
We stayed for two nights and one them we have the lights in the room ON because of a technical problem. Obviously we couldn’t sleep. The lights didn’t turn off and we reported this at 11:45pm just before going to sleep when the kids were already in bed. The reception desk said the technician was already out of the hotel and the only option was changing the room. But for this we have to completely pack and move from our actual room. That means packing all the belongings toiletries at midnight!!! We asked if we can move to the other room and keep the belongings there until next morning when we had to do the checkout. The lady on the phone was very rude and told us they were no more alternatives, just completely move or try to sleep with the lights on. Very desrespectful. Her reasoning was that she had to keep in the system two rooms under my name and if we do so they will charge us for the second room!! Unbelievable!! The only start is for the good breakfast.
Everything is fine, clean room and a good bathroom. Near center of the city, 10 minutes with metro.
Ti manage better the parking avaiability
Nice motel but the room is very small and the location not great to visit the city.
Upon arriving the room was clean and ready, but small details were missing eg the lid for the shower. Staff was very friendly and polite. Special thanks to the man who helped me to get back my Krzysztof from the room after check out!
1. Found nail clipping on the floor by bed. 2. Bartenders were huffing and puffing about normal requests. 3. Suggesting you fill your bottles w toilet room water! 4. The service in the lobby was at a holler across the lobby. Absolute shocker! Dirty ashtrays from night before in garden! Every request felt like a huge ask. There are little to no real service value. TV didn’t work, couldn’t use alarm or access anything beyond an aquarium view. Disaster I drop my 6 to 3 with these memories. Oh god 5he sounds of people’s doors slamming!!, worst rest of my life.
Brilliant service, both at check in and in the bar/restaurant
Location, experience
I come here routinely everytime I am in Munich and I always feel at home, rooms are quiet, Staff super nice, even helped me figure out a booking error.
The well known Motel one concept: affordable prices, good shower & bed and a tasteful breakfast. But very tiny (bath)rooms 😩
MotelOne never disappoints me My first time in this location in Munich: nothing to complain about
Very friendly staff. Nice and clean Hotel. Good location, however environment of the hotel is quite shabby
What an absolute gem of a find! Great location great hotel! We loved everything about it from the quirky decor to the friendly staff! The room was comfortable, impeccably clean and modern. The rooms were quiet and ideal for a good night sleep with air conditioning for extra comfort in the heat!! If I had one negative it would be lack of drinks facilities in the room but that by no way deterred from the quality of the stay! It was a little piece of affordable luxury in a fantastic city!!! We loved it and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!!
Loved it. The only disappointment was the room with a view. The view was onto a Hinterhof and offices. So very misleading and not worth the extra. The balcony was not useable but merely decorum. Everything else was very good.
Pros: comfy beds, clean room, friendly reception desk attendees, free water, location, soft toilet paper, nice hairdryer, Cons: breakfast was lacking, parking lacking (we had to park in an unsafe parking garage), very small rooms, where is the A/C?? Severely lacking. I picked this hotel because it had A/C but it was so hot it was uncomfortable. Notes: the shining stars for this hotel are your people. They were engaging and friendly. The parking structure was never open when we needed it. We parked on the street one night but the next night we had to park in an area that wasn’t safe.
convenient, central, nice people, small room
Munich East is the smallest Motel One we have stayed in, which didn’t bother us, although it felt that therefore the breakfast choice wasn’t as great, there were no little Leberwurst or Streichmettwurst for example. During peak breakfast time at the weekend guests had to wait for nearly 20 minutes for more boiled eggs, that was not the excellent service we are used to. Quality of the food was fantastic, though! Room was lovely and clean as always. Service at the bar at night was outstanding. Location is a bit far from the Old Town, ca a 1-hr walk, but the tram 21 leaves literally outside the Motel, and takes you straight to the Old Town. There were 4 of us, and we bought a day ticket for a small group every day, valid in Munich Centre, cost €17.90, valid for 24 hours and on all public transport in the centre. So a really good price. Our stay was great, and we will definitely stay at Motel One again.
The room was not tidied up, the bathroom towels were not changed, and the reception staff showed no interest in the matter. Breakfast does not include the option to heat anything up—not even the bread.
Great connection to the city Center. Very quite.Breakfast needs improvement. Long wait for items when busy. Or items ran out.
